The Challenge

However, the restaurant’s busy entrance area was becoming affected by cold air entering whenever the doors opened. This created uncomfortable draughts in the lobby and waiting area, particularly during colder months.

The Solution
Following a site assessment, Thermoscreens’ technical team identified that a recessed air curtain system would provide the most effective and discreet solution.
The team recommended the Thermoscreens C1500 recessed electric air curtain, selected for its strong air performance, quiet operation and ability to blend seamlessly into the restaurant interior.
Installed above the entrance doorway, the air curtain creates an invisible barrier of air that helps retain heated air inside the building while preventing cold external air from entering.
Unlike traditional heating solutions, the air curtain allows the entrance to remain open and welcoming without exposing guests and staff to uncomfortable cold draughts.
During warmer months, the unit can also operate in ambient mode, helping reduce warm external air entering the restaurant.
